BodyTite liposuction has been in use for many years but in recent years, the technology has been further advanced to combine BodyTite with Morpheus 8 technology. It does what the original technology does best and that is skin tightening. The difference is that it is a minimally invasive technique, placing the radiofrequency energy just under the skin where it is most effective. It has a temperature sensor above the skin as added safety feature to reduce burns to the skin. For those of you who want something that has undergone research and is results-based consider this FDA-approved treatment.

If you like the sound of the BodyTite system but want further improvement of the technique, think about combining it with Morpheus 8 at the same time so that there is further skin tightening from above. This combined therapy is called EmbraceRF and delivers more youthful skin without scars or the downtime of a surgical body lift. The technique may be used in conjunction with Vaser liposuction to tighten the skin.

The standard for body skin laxity is excisional skin surgery, ie cutting the skin off, such as a tummy tuck, arm lift, or thigh lift. The area to be treated is identified and marked.

The treatment areas are cleaned with antiseptic. A small volume of diluted anaesthetic is infused under the skin. The anaesthetic is left to work. A thin probe is inserted under the skin and radiofrequency is applied subdermally.For the 2nd part of the treatment (Morpheus8) the skin is microneedled and again radiofrequency energy is administered. The treatment zones are cleaned and a compression garment is placed for 24-48 hours.

BodyTite uses radiofrequency-assisted liposuction (RFAL) to heat excess fat deposits in the face and neck and to tighten the skin. However, in certain cases, some of the fat in the face and neck area may need to be preserved to retain a youthful appearance. Depending on the quality of the skin, the doctor can combine BodyTite with Morpheus 8 externally for adipose remodeling. Based on the depth of the dermis in different parts of the face, the doctor can preserve fat and tighten skin so as to improve definition of the jaw line, jowls and neck. Thus creating a fullness necessary to maintain a youthful appearance.

Usually 90-210 minutes

We will usually place a compression garment for 24 hours to reduce the chances of bruising. We advise 3-5 lymphatic massages to reduce swelling, inflammatory nodules and discomfort. You can wash your skin gently the next morning. The next day we will review you and advise that Arnica cream may help reduce any swelling or bruising that you may have after 1 day. We will see you again after 1 week for a followup and then again at 12 weeks.
